 The National Arts Festival has released the call for artists who wish to take part in the 2021 National Arts Festival Fringe. The National Arts Festival is forecasting for a hybrid edition in July 2021 with a digital (online) festival and live fundamentals as allowed within the prevailing Covid-19 limitations. Last year the festival was celebrated online when the pandemic restricted meetings and banned a live festival from taking place. The month-long digital 2020 Cybernetic National Arts Festival drew over 80,000 home-grown and international visitors to the festival site and showcased creations that included WhatsApp plays, robot-sketched portrait sessions, documentaries, music concerts, theatre, dance, retrospectives and more. Latest African Breaking News – DRC Imposing Covid-19 Preventive Restrictions

 The Democratic Republic of Congo is planning to impose stricter coronavirus measures as a huge number of new cases have been filed in past few days. The government announced restrictions would start from Friday, 18 December, 2020 with a curfew from 21:00 to 05:00. Other guidelines include school closing and public gatherings; the communications minister said schools would be closed earlier for the Christmas holidays and public gatherings of more than 10 people would not be allowed. There will also be a ban on family affairs, ceremonies before burials and other gatherings. Sports competitions will continue without fans.
