Latest African Breaking News – DRC Imposing Covid-19 Preventive Restrictions

 The Democratic Republic of Congo is planning to impose stricter coronavirus measures as a huge number of new cases have been filed in past few days. The government announced restrictions would start from Friday, 18 December, 2020 with a curfew from 21:00 to 05:00. Other guidelines include school closing and public gatherings; the communications minister said schools would be closed earlier for the Christmas holidays and public gatherings of more than 10 people would not be allowed. There will also be a ban on family affairs, ceremonies before burials and other gatherings. Sports competitions will continue without fans.  The new sense of fashion can be seen at the Fashion week in Lagos, Nigeria, manifested the world a new range of selection. With celebrated brands collapsing and the world dressing out sweatpants, 2020 has not been stagnate year for fashion. But at Arise fashion week, which was conducted on Saturday, December 12, there were green shoots of hope, said by Naomi Campbell. “There’s certainly a few stars here. I’m very mesmerized. Covid has taken out a lot of creativity in many people.” Campbell told that she was planning to attend African style showcase virtually but flew to Nigeria last week to take part in it. She wanted to bring awareness to the young designers’ great work.
